In-shore: Inshore fishing includes fishing in the salt marsh creeks of Murrells Inlet and/or fishing in the ocean on a series of artificial reefs up to five miles off the beach. Depending on ocean conditions and species of fish we are targeting, determines where we fish. Inshore species of fish include; Flounder, Redfish, Trout, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, Blue fish and Sharks.
Off-shore: Offshore fishing is any trip that goes out more than 22 miles. Two types of fishing done are trolling and bottom fishing. Trolling offshore is a higher speed trolling with dead and artificial baits for Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Wahoo, King Mackerel and Sail fish. Bottom fishing offshore is done with live bait, dead bait, and artificial lures for Grouper, Snapper, large Sea Bass, Trigger fish, Cobia and many others.
Near-shore: Nearshore fishing is done between 5-22 miles out of Murrells Inlet. There are two main types of fishing done nearshore, trolling and bottom fishing. Trolling nearshore targets King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, Sharks and Barracuda by trolling either live bait, dead baits or artificial baits. Bottom fishing nearshore is mostly done by fishing live bait on the bottom targeting several species of reef fish like Flounder, Giant Redfish, Sea Bass, Sheepshead, Spade fish, Sharks and more.
